Misty Stevens
Meet Misty Stevens (Baker) raised in Bloomington,
Indiana. She cut her teeth playing gospel music at churches around her hometown
as a teen, but started her musical journey much younger. Her uncle would play
guitar and record her singing when she was only two years old. By five she was
playing the Piano, and by sixteen she was accompanying
herself on the guitar.
Misty
would often accompany the small church congregation where her family attended.
And it was at that tiny church that she first witnessed the many 
different
moods and emotions of music. She began to explore other genres of music but the high, lonesome harmonies of mountain music and her proximity
to Bean
Blossom, Indiana (the mecca of Bluegrass) led her to pursue a career in
bluegrass.
As
a songwriter, Misty is an abundant well of writing
creativity. She writes both fact and fiction, but vocally bleeds
every spiritual drop of herself into each song.
